In Kargil Ladakh, archery is called Da-fangs and Dar-tses, played in Nouroz season (1stMarch) and is still practiced in Kargil Ladakh during the spring season. As on above, the petroglypghs depicting people hunting animals with bows and arrows. Archery must have started with hunting, was then used for war. Later, became a part of our culture.
